Matt Hawks, Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Risk Management at Rollins College, Receives Honorary Life Membership in CUPA-HR
Matt Hawks has received honorary life membership in the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Honorary life membership is granted to a small number of CUPA-HR leaders who have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to the higher education human resources profession and long-term leadership in the association.
Hawks, a long-time member of CUPA-HR, was an integral member of the Florida Chapter board for several years, serving as board president from 2003 to 2005. Hawks also served on the Southern Region board of directors for five years, culminating in a term as chair during the 2010-11 fiscal year, and was recognized with the CUPA-HR Southern Region Distinguished Service Award in 2015. At the national level, Hawks served on several committees and assisted with the Emerging CUPA-HR Leaders program.
“The CUPA-HR and Rollins College communities have been extremely fortunate to have an individual who consistently provides high-quality service to stakeholders; performs ‘above and beyond’ the normal job expectations; embodies innovation, creativity and initiative; displays extraordinary teamwork; and has made significant contributions both in support of CUPA-HR colleagues and to the profession,” shared CUPA-HR Southern Region Chair-Elect Jennifer Addleman and CUPA-HR National Board Member David Zajchowski in their nomination for Hawks.
Hawks will retire from Rollins College in July after a distinguished 29-year career with the institution.
